The Meisser Effect - Amazing Physics

The black block is a superconductor. Superconductors are materials which allow electric current to pass through with zero resistance. They also have the unique tendency to repel magnets. This phenomenon is called the Meisser Effect. The most advanced superconducting materials today only work at very low temperature, hence the liquid nitrogen.
